The Dixie National Quarter Horse Show has expanded its Equestrians with Disabilities (EWD) show to 4 AQHA shows and 2 NSBA shows.  Additionally, the show will expand to a two day event. MQHA President and AQHA Judge Tom McBeath said, “The addition of the two NSBA shows was made to respond to what our participants wanted at our show.  We also made the change to hold our classes over two days to keep our show from lasting too many hours on one day and make things easier on our participants. We had the largest EWD show in the nation last year, and we are expecting more entries this year.  We already have participants from Texas, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and Mississippi who have made stall reservations and are planning to attend.”

Liz Turner, EWD Show Manager, said that although the show is expanding to two days the Dixie EWD will still have the same volunteers and down home southern welcome for all participants, trainers and family. “Our MQHYA Youth and adult volunteers dedicate their time to welcome our participants and help them unload when they arrive on Sunday afternoon.  We could not put this show on without the entire MQHYA and MQHA family working together.”  This year’s show will be held February 9-10, 2016.  The Dixie National invites all EWD participants nationwide to come to our show and enjoy some good ole southern hospitality!  For questions or additional information, please contact Mary Hopkins (601) 415-7272 or Liz Turner (228) 669-4517.
