Congrats to the First International Offspring of the Year for Winnies Willy!

WW_GoodMissGracious_1Winnies Willy is proving that good bloodlines mean something worldwide, and officially has his first foal on the ground for 2014 in Europe.  The gorgeous mare and newborn filly belong to Silvia Dumont of France. Good Miss Gracious (by Zippos Mr Goodbar) foaled on March 4th.

“[I think] the cross with Winnies Willy was very interesting!” exclaims Silvia of her new filly. “We love this stallion because he is really consistent on his production. It was a excellent cross between our ‘Gracie’ and Winnies Willy. The filly is exceptional; short back, great legs, beautiful neck, powerful rear end and her expression on her head and eyes is special. We call her ‘Sunny’.” Silvia says that they plan on keeping Sunny to show as she gets older. “We are very confident [with this cross] and we [will] breed this mare again with Winnies Willy this year.”

“Willy” is a 2004 stallion owned by Deborah Cook by Willy Be Invited and out of Winnie The Tiger. He is currently standing at Pine View Farms in Ohio.

“Willy is knocking it out of the park on giving us pretty babies with great conformation!” says Farm Manager Debbi Trubee. This isn’t the first international foal for Willy, however (see left). “This Winnies Willy colt, bred by David Maisonnette, was born last year in Europe. The yearling is out of Awesome At Midnight (An Awesome Mister) and is owned by Jael Walchli,” explains Debbi.
