New Look To Latest NCEA Rankings Announced Wednesday

NCEA logoWACO, Texas – There’s a new look to the latest National Collegiate Equestrian Association national team rankings announced Wednesday, as a number of changes are seen in this week’s installment.

South Carolina remains the nation’s top team, following a win against Southeastern Conference foe Texas A&M last weekend in Blythewood, S.C. Auburn checks in at No. 2, following a loss to Georgia last weekend. Auburn and South Carolina square off on Saturday to determine the No. 1 seed at the upcoming SEC Championship.

Georgia rockets up to No. 3 following its win against Auburn in Bishop, Ga., on Saturday. Oklahoma State remains at No. 4 following a 12-8 loss to TCU in Fort Worth on Saturday. Baylor drops three spots to No. 5 following a weekend in which it defeated SMU and fell to Fresno State in Fresno, Calif.

New Mexico State, which has not competed since Feb. 15, is No. 6, while Kansas State, which also was idle, is No. 7. TCU, which defeated Oklahoma State last weekend, is No. 8. Fresno State moves into the No. 9 spot in the rankings following a wins against Baylor and SMU at home last weekend. UT-Martin, which has not competed since January 25, is No. 10.
