April Leaves Like A Lion! ACTHA has record weekend and first Quarter

Press release

ACTHA_featuredWe don’t know what’s in the air but our riders and hosts have shown up in record numbers in 2014. Perhaps the economy has really turned? Or perhaps riders are confirming that trail riding and trail horses are just pure fun!

Just in this last weekend in April ACTHA will see 23 events from California to Massachusetts and from Florida through Georgia, Arkansas, Texas and Kansas. Some of the rides having waiting lists.  Over 400 riders, hundreds of dedicated volunteers, dozens of wonderful ride hosts and 14 dog tired ACTHA staff are enjoying all the grins.

The first quarter has eclipsed our best year by over 30% in all categories. With May 31st being the end of our competitive season and riders chasing over $20,000 in state and national prizes there’s not much relief in sight.

Our motto “CASUAL COMPETITION ….SERIOUS FUN” has never been truer. With charity and rescues receiving 20% of ACTHA’s gross member rider’s entry fees everybody wins.

“What’s particularly heartwarming for us is the large number of repeat events from those held earlier and the number of charities holding events! That say’s to me we’re doing something right” states Robin Tilghman ACTHA Chief Operating Officer.

Cash free sponsorships available.

  • To create and enable humane treatment and employment options for horses in need.
