AQHA Stallion, Iron Age, Donated to Ohio State University

In a gracious act of generosity, 2005 stallion, Iron Age, was donated to Ohio State University at the wishes of Carolyn Fleming Smith, the late mother of Seaside Farm’s, Adria Smith.  The transaction was completed at the end of the 2014 breeding season, and all rebreeds will still be honored in  2015 as well as the availability to purchase future breedings.

Smith was an avid philanthropist, always giving to charity, including donating her entire wardrobe to Hope’s Door, in Plano, Texas, benefiting the Plano Women’s Shelter.  Due to her relationship with Amy Gumz of Gumz Farms and Gumz’ relationship with the university, Ohio State was chosen as the next step in Iron Age’s breeding career.

More information regarding breedings to come at a later time.

Our thoughts are with the Smiths and the entire Seaside Farm family during this difficult time.
