Think you and your Paint Horse are the fastest mounted shooting team around? Prove it at the Tony Lama Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association World Championship in Amarillo, Texas, on October 15–18, and take home cash prizes if you’re one of the Top Three sharp-shooting Paint exhibitors.

APHA added $1,500 each to the APHA Open and Amateur Divisions at this year’s competition. The Top Three Paints—Regular Registry or Solid Paint-Bred—will take home cash rewards for excellence in the sport they love. You must enter the APHA division with your registered Paint Horse to be eligible for the prizes, and both the exhibitor and owner of the horse must hold a current APHA membership. Prizes are awarded to the owners of the horses.

“We are excited to build on our partnership with the CMSA by offering a cash incentive to the top-placing Paint Horses at the CMSA World Championship,” Senior Director of Show and Contest Holly Slaughter said. “It is a great opportunity for us to showcase and reward Paint Horses excelling at CMSA events while getting more exhibitors acquainted with what APHA has to offer.”
