Congress Small Fry Events Kick Off This Weekend

For years, the All American Quarter Horse Congress has promoted the future of the industry by offering events for the youngest riders, beginning with Small Fry Horsemanship, and in recent years, expanding to a full slate of Small Fry classes. 

The 2014 Small Fry events begin Saturday with Small Fry Showmanship and Small Fry Western Horsemanship.  New to 2014, is Small Fry Western Pleasure, Small Fry Equitation, and Small Fry Trail, in addition to an overall Small Fry High Point Award which will be awarded to the exhibitor with the most points accumulated across all events in this division.

Many of today’s top exhibitors got their start in the Small Fry Horsemanship, including Sharnai Thompson, Megan Hawkins, Jessica Baird, Tate Oakley, Courtney Chown, Cody Parrish, and many more.  Keep an eye out because there’s a very good chance that many of this year’s Small Fry exhibitors will become household names in the coming years.
