Members of Team USA, who swept the reining competition at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2104 in August in Normandy, will be at the AQHA World Championship Show Saturday afternoon, November 15, at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.

Gold medalists Mandy McCutcheon, Andrea Fappani, Jordan Larson and Shawn Flarida will be on hand for a meet-and-greet just before the 3 p.m. finals in the Jim Norick Arena. Each of these riders has won numerous AQHA World Show accolades.

Team USA won the gold this summer, with Team Belgium taking silver and Team Austria bronze. In individual competition, USA’s Mandy McCutcheon earned the bronze, USA’s Andrea Fappani took the silver and USA’s Shawn Flarida won the gold, his fifth FEI gold medal for the Games. This is the United States’ fourth consecutive WEG FEI Team Gold medal.

“We are honored to have the gold-medal winning team at the AQHA World Show for Oklahoma City residents to meet,” said AQHA Executive Director of Shows & Judges Pete Kyle, himself a former WEG participant. “To have this caliber of rider available for a meet and greet is like magic for anyone who has ever dreamed of owning and showing a horse at this international level.”
