“The 2014 December Online Auction, showed a strong market for quality Halter and Pleasure breeding stock,” according to Mike Jennings of Professional Horse Services, LLC.  “The increase in prices through this year indicates a turn-around in the market for good horses.”

Potential Asset was a close second for the highest selling horse in the sale.  Steve Heckaman sold the AQHA High Point Performance Halter Stallion, Superior Western Riding and top Western Pleasure stallion for a negotiated price of $19,000 to Scott and Sandy Hilbert of Abbottstown, Pennsylvania.  The Hilberts will be standing Potential Asset to the public in 2015.  Watch for information about their introductory breeding fee of $850, with consideration to proven mares.  Contact Scott at 717-497-4800 for more information.

The High Seller, at $19,100, was Sure Foolin Someone, an ROM Halter mare by Kid Ocala, and the only mare in the World in foal to Leading Halter Sire, Touchdown Kid.  The mare was consigned by Don Falcon of Falcon Quarter Horses, Louisiana, and sold to Kelli Butler from Oklahoma.

This was the first time the company had offered frozen semen in an online auction.  The 4 lots of frozen semen from World Champion and World Champion sire, Execute, sold for $10,600 to Terry Bewley of Arkansas.  This price was higher than the seller Andre Portelli, of Australia, had paid in the US Marshals auction of Rita Crundwell’s assets.
