Fox Lea Winter Circuit Sees Increase as Circuit Wraps Up

The Fox Lea Winter Circuit AQHA and NSBA show wrapped up on Sunday with more than 6,500 total AQHA entries with sunny skies and many AQHA and NSBA points earned. “We were really pleased with this year’s show, and we thank everyone who came and supported it,” said Mark Harrell, whose show management company completed its second year managing the show. “David and I are already working on some suggestions with the Farrells to improve the show schedule for next year.”

The circuit saw an increase of more than 1,300 entries over 2014. The final day of the six-day circuit included Western Riding, Horsemanship, Western Pleasure, and over fence classes.

In the Western Pleasure pen, Scott Frye and The Rock (seen at left) added another AQHA and NSBA win in Junior Western Pleasure while Merry Sharp, Frisco, TX, and Alittlebitofthebest took the NSBA win in Level 1 (Novice) Amateur Western Pleasure. Denise Hawkins, Canton, GA, and Itsthemoonshinetalkin added another NSBA win in Amateur Western Pleasure while Cool Poco Dot and Linda Ball Sargent, Eustis, FL, added another win in AQHA and NSBA Amateur Select Western Pleasure.

Tyler Achtenhagen also added another win for Garcia Quarter Horses in NSBA Level 1 (Green) Western Pleasure with Hotrod This, and Cory Freilich, Oxford, FL, and Justa Good Version won AQHA and NSBA Youth Western Pleasure. Andy Cochran, showing for Richard and Betty Jo Carr, Bremen, IN, was also a repeat winner in AQHA and NSBA Senior Western Pleasure aboard OHK Goodbars Krymsun.
