NSBA members celebrated Easter Sunday with Hunter Under Saddle and Hunt Seat Equitation classes at the Madness circuit. In addition to the horse show, youth enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt around the Roberts Arena grounds in Wilmington, Ohio.

When the final class was tallied at the Madness AQHA and NSBA circuit, the numbers were impressive. The show approached 9,000 entries among the six judges during the two split-combined shows, with several four and five point AQHA classes throughout the circuit, according to Mark Harrell Horse Shows. The show received very positive feedback on the new facilities at Roberts Arena, as well as on the large number of points earned by attendees.

NSBA members also closed out the show with the last two NSBA added money classes of the circuit.

Justin Beamer Earns Third NSBA Added-Money Class Win

Dawn Sechler showed Justin Beamer to the pair’s second added money win and the horse’s third win of the show by taking the $500 Added Three Year Old Open Hunter Under Saddle in the first class of the day on Sunday. The duo had also won the NSBA $500 Added Non-Pro All Age Hunter Under Saddle and Alyse Roberts showed to a tie to win the NSBA $500 Added Green Hunter Under Saddle, which were both held on Friday.

“I bought him last year at the Congress,” Sechler said of the Just Expect It gelding. “He was just great hocked and he is just a big floaty mover, especially for as little of a horse as he is. He’s probably about 16.1.  We’ve only shown him one other time this year.”

Justin Beamer also won the Madness circuit award in Green Hunter Under Saddle.
