The Minnesota Pinto Horse Association announced earlier this week that this weekend’s Spring Fling, in Winona, MN, has been canceled as a precaution with the ongoing EHV-1 outbreak in Minnesota.

MPHA made the statement earlier this week on their Facebook page:

After much deliberation by the MINNESOTA Pinto Board of Directors, with input from our veterinarian team, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming May Spring Fling show.

We are already working on rescheduling this show, and we appreciate the patience and support of our members, staff, exhibitors and volunteers as we worked through the process.

We respectfully request that you share this notice so no one makes the trip to Winona

(Stabling checks have NOT been cashed, and we are working on a process to return them as well)

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you in July.

They have also said they are currently in the process of returning checks to those who pre-reserved stalls.  If you do not need your check returned, contact [email protected].  All checks not returned will be destroyed.  For additional news and updates, visit their official website and Facebook page.
