NCEA’S Sister Success

It is often said that the strongest bond is shared between sisters. That is why it is not a surprise to see how many sisters are involved with the NCEA. The love of horses and competition that sisters share has spread all the way to collegiate riding. It has guided many younger sisters to follow in their older sisters’ footsteps by attending the same college. But after reading the list of NCEA sisters, there are some sisters that have strayed from their elder sister’s path.

Rising Texas A&M junior, Isabella Norton, was able to share her experience with choosing Texas A&M, while her older sister, Adele Norton, attended the University of South Carolina.

“I decided to go to a different school mainly because I wanted to try something different, go somewhere new,” Norton said. “We joked that if I went to school with Adele I wouldn’t make any friends. Instead I’d spend all my time with her.”

When it came time to make her decision, Norton had to decide if going to school with her sister would be the best choice for both of them. The decision is one that many sisters face, which brings extra stress to the already intense situation of selecting a college.
