Some travel to Las Vegas hoping to score a big win on the roulette table, but reiners headed over to the South Point Hotel & Casino in September to compete for an estimated $1 million in cash and prizes at the High Roller Reining Classic. Paints had the odds stacked in their favor, as APHA again partnered with the show to reward high-placing registered Paints in 11 events with custom Gist Silversmith belt buckles.

The National Reining Horse Association event took place September 11–20, and for the second consecutive year, APHA gave reining enthusiasts more incentive than ever to ride, register and transfer Paint Horses. The buckles were an added bonus on top of big wins, and chrome-plated champions like Lynda Hardwick, who won the High Roller Rookie class aboard Big Hollywood Chex, were thrilled; brimming with excitement, Linda immediately put on her new APHA buckle.

“I even wore it during my two Limited Non Pro runs,” she exclaimed. Partners with her gelding for just over two years, Linda says she’s thankful for her horse and their partnership with every run.

During the last year, APHA has recognized top-placing Paint reiners at several NRHA events around the country. Whether your love sliding or spinning with a chrome-splashed partner or prefer another event, registering your Paint Horse can open lots of doors in the equine industry. Best of all, registration and transfers of ownership are EASY, thanks to our MemberCare pros who will walk you through the steps.
