A Colorful World at the World Championship Appaloosa Show

The World Championship Appaloosa Show is underway at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, and NSBA members are earning hardware along with world championship titles this week. The Way To Go caught up with some of today’s winners.

Rock My Motion Continues to Rock The Horse World

Fresh off championships in the Open and Limited Open divisions of the $10,000 Limited Horse Open Western Pleasure Stakes at the 2015 All American Quarter Horse Congress with Sara Simons in the saddle, Rock My Motion next put owner Jordan Semmelmayer’s in the spotlight. Semmelmayer rode Rock My Motion to the win in the ApHC and NSBA world champion titles in Non-Pro Western Pleasure on Thursday.

The five year old gelding is by Hot Chocolatey Chip and out of Shes Radical (by Radical Rodder) and owned by Janis and Jordan Semmelmayer. “We’ve owned him since he was two,” Jordan Semmelmayer said. “He’s pretty special. He’s really a once in a lifetime horse, and the past couple of weeks have been very exciting for us.

“Our go today was really good,” she continued. “It’s probably one of the best rides I’ve ever had on him.” The gelding, known as Tex, will show with RJ King in Junior Western Pleasure and with Semmelmayer in the Non-Pro Western Pleasure Sweepstakes later in the week.

Taking the reserve champion ApHC and NSBA titles was Good Timin Charlie and Jessica Olsen.

Additional Western Pleasure champions named this week included Pat Odell and Sleeping Beauty Too, winning the ApHC and NSBA world title in Open Senior Western Pleasure; Lonnie Cruse and Rose Rageous, who won the Appaloosa Pleasure Horse Association’s Limited Two Year Old Snaffle Bit Western Pleasure Futurity; A Slow Ride and Sara Simons, winning ApHC and NSBA champion titles in Open Three Year Old Snaffle Bit Western Pleasure; and Brenda O’Neil and Taking Hits, who won the ApHC and NSBA champion award in Non-Pro Masters Western Pleasure.

In the Open Western Yearling Longe Line, Breaking Bad, shown by Anthony Leier for Carri Ruby, took the ApHC and NSBA world title. Born Blazin Hot, ahown by Sean Schembri for Winsome Farms LLC, took the reserve NSBA award and thid overall.
