Press Release

To me that’s something worth supporting,” says Bo Lofvander of Back on Track USA®, which will match dollar-for-dollar every donation – up to $25,000 — made through the end of the year to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer. “I’m very fortunate to have reached an age and place in my life where I can help make a difference. It’s not about what you acquire it’s about what you do with it.

“It breaks my heart to think about it. I have an 18-month old daughter who, gratefully, is perfectly healthy, I can only imagine how a parent would feel getting dealt a ‘curve ball’ like a diagnosis of cancer in the child they love. I want to educate people about childhood cancer through our equestrian world because that’s where so many of us have started – as kids on ponies – and some have grown up to become Olympic champions. I want to inspire our horse world to unite to make a difference helping kids fully live their lives.

“All it has to take,” he urges, “is donating a dollar, just one dollar, to make a difference in the lives of kids and families. I’m so grateful to the horse magazines that have carried Back on Track products have stepped up to help share information about the effort and where to find it on our website.”

BackonTrackProducts.com has a home page link to AlexsLemonade.org and the Back on Track Virtual Fundraiser for Childhood Cancer. The fundraising goal is $50,000.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). At age four, Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, ALSF has become a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of volunteers nationwide continuing her legacy of hope. To date, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised over $100 million, funding over 500 research projects nationally that are helping to fulfill Alex’s dream.

The Back on Track Virtual Fundraiser is to help ALSF move a step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer. “Back on Track will match dollar-for-dollar every donation you make on this page up to $25,000,” Lofvander says. “The money you donate will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. Please help us help kids and their families.

“I didn’t want this to be ‘commercial,’” Lofvander added about the virtual fundraising project. “I didn’t want it to be about Back on Track or, if you buy something, then a percentage goes to etc., etc. This is about doubling the impact of real donations that will make a real difference in providing comfort and hope.

It’s the perfect response from the company whose own motto is: “Because comfort makes a difference.” Learn more at www.backontrackproducts.com.
