European Championships Kicked Off August 5 in Kreuth, Germany

European Championships Kicked off August 5Today was the beginning of one of the biggest western riding shows in Europe: The 27th European Championship of American Quarter Horses in Rieden, Kreuth, Germany. Participants and spectators will experience 10 days of top-level equestrian sport. Participants from Germany, Luxembourg, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Belgium, Italy, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, Hungary and Finland competed in the Green Trail, Novice Amateur Trail, Novice Youth Trail and Green Reining Classes on Friday.

The Green Trail was won by Stefanie Bubenzer from Germany with Lazyiswhatlazydoes, who came in first place among 36 participants. The mare is owned by Jaqueline Korioth. The Danish rider Natascha Haukrog Moller followed in second place together with Assets Grand Slam, owned by Elisabeth Potalivo. Cindy Hessels from Netherlands with Ima Cool Personality finished in third place.

Jaqueline Korioth from Germany and her mare, Lazyiswhatlazydoes, won first place in the Novice Amateur Trail out of 30 participants. Domenic Meier, from Switzerland, and Totaly A Grand Slam came in second place, with Dagmar Schnauder from Germany and her horse, Talk About This Chip, taking third.

In the Green Open Reining, Kerstin Lil, from Germany, with her stallion GP Explosivemercedes won first place. Nina Lil from Germany came in second place, together with the stallion MR Button Dual, owned by Marcel Menne. Tobias Voglberger from Germany and I Am A Ruf Boy, owned by Sabrina Vogleberger, placed third.
