Fort Worth, TX—The second phase of World Championship competition with the American Paint Horse Association comes this fall at the Open/Amateur World Championship Paint Horse Show, which will be held November 2-12 in Fort Worth, Texas, at Will Rogers Memorial Center.

The 2011 Open/Amateur World Show is adding a total of $58,500 in top specialty classes.

REINING = $11,500 ADDED (all NRHA approved)

  • 3-Year-Old Reining Challenge – $5,000 added
  • 4 & 5-Year-Old Reining Challenge  – $5,000 added
  • Freestyle Reining Sweepstakes – $1,000 added Overall / $500 added Non-Pro

WORKING COW HORSE = $5,000 ADDED

  • 4 & 5-Year-Old Working Cow Horse Challenge – $5,000 added

CUTTING = $15,000 ADDED

  • 3-Year-Old Cutting Challenge – $5,000 added
  • 4-Year-Old Cutting Challenge – $5,000 added
  • 5 & 6-Year-Old Cutting Challenge – $5,000 added

WESTERN PLEASURE / HUNTER UNDER SADDLE = $13,000 ADDED (NSBA approved except BWP)

  • 3-Year-Old Western Pleasure Challenge – $5,000 added

A Hart Trailer will be presented to the All-Around Horse, and Gist Silversmiths buckles will be presented to Champion & Reserve Champion in 178 classes.

Pre-enter by September 10 for the most value. This year, all Open and Amateur-level competition will take place together, making for a more uniform feel and timeline for our competitors as the Association brings their reining and cattle events into the fold with the other Open and Amateur events.
