Second Annual DeGraff Stables Charity Program Supports The V Foundation in December

There are many deserving charities of which DeGraff Stables has chosen a few special programs to support in their 2nd Annual Breeding Season Charity Program.  The program kicks off in December for 2012 with the support of The V Foundation for Cancer Research!   November 30th to December 6th is the fifth annual ESPN Jimmy V Week for Cancer Research – a week-long initiative featuring special content across ESPN platforms and programs to drive awareness and donations to The V Foundation for Cancer Research.   In their first four years, ESPN raised nearly $4 million dollars to help those with cancer.  Excitingly, The V Foundation was set up with all donations going 100% to cancer research as administration fees are handled through other donations and you are assured that your dollars are being used as intended.  November 30, at 7 p.m. ET you may view a simulcast of Jim Valvano’s 1993 ESPYs speech across ESPN media.  If you miss this airing, you may also find the speech on-line at  http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=3118760.  I encourage EVERYONE, whether you are involved in sports or not, and even if you have seen this speech before, to take 10 minutes and watch.  It is guaranteed to move you.

While each month we highlight a different charity, we will donate a portion of every 2012 Stallion Futurity booking fee to the Charity of the Mare Owners Choice from our list of eligible organizations: The V Foundation, The Black Stallion Literacy Foundation, Horses For Heroes, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Para Equestrian Program, The Pony Club, Make A Wish Foundation or the Victory Gallop Therapeutic Riding Program.   DeGraff Stables is committed to support programs that provide relief, hope and help to individuals and wish you will join us in this endeavor.

A special thank you is extended to each of the owners of our championship stallions: DGS IndyGo (AQHA), DGS Vestastic (AQHA), Frosty The Goodbar (AQHA/ARHA), HBF Iron Man (AQHA/APHA), Hes A Cool Hotrod (AQHA/APHA), Hot Lopin Sensation (APHA), Indian Artifacts (AQHA/AWR), Invite The Artist (APHA), MDR Impulsive (AQHA/APHA) and PR Tells A Tale (AQHA) that is resident for the 2012 breeding season at DeGraff Stables in Midway, Kentucky.  Ironwood Acres, Seabreeze Pleasure Horses, the HBF Iron Man Partnership, Wilson Paint Horses, Pryor Ranch and DeGraff Stables support many fine breed and pleasure horse futurities across the country by donating their stallion’s service to help provide funding for offspring to show for!

These breedings are made available by the futurity organizations at a discounted rate to mare owners. Once a mare owner purchases the breeding to the stallion of their choice, the funds are made available in future years for the foals of the resulting matings to compete and earn by winning during competitions.  Mare owners that purchase a futurity breeding from a DeGraff Stables stallion represent a win/win result; assistance to charity and support of the performance and pleasure horse industry!

To participate in the DeGraff Stables, Inc. Charity Program, find the list of Foal Incentives and Engagements per stallion. This identifies their individual eligible futurities for our world-class stallion line-up on our website, make your selection and get in touch with us.  We will contact the appropriate organization and reserve your breeding of choice. When you pay your booking fee, DeGraff Stables, Inc. will donate $100 of each booking fee to your Charity choice! As a mare owner, you may also choose to match the donation and we will forward your contribution to the Charity. We thank the many people last year that participated and invite you to help us make an even bigger difference in 2012!  Visit www.DeGraffStables.com for complete details.
