Remember our story about Cookie, the super mare who took on not one, but TWO orphaned foals last year at Pine View Farms, when one was rejected by its mother and the other became an orphan after the dam was sadly put down?  The story captured readers hearts as this big-hearted mare raised the two foals like they were her own after being prepared as a nurse mare using a prescription regiment that is not harmful to the mare or surrogate foal(s).

A year later, Debbie Trubee, the breeding manager of Pine View Farms, has given us an update on Tee Nee Bit Lazy (aka “Tee Nee”), the orphan foal born via C-section and who was Cookie’s original charge.

“Tee Nee has been purchased by Maria Schaefer and will begin her training with Heather Himelick.” she informed us.

Last year, the horse world fell in love with "Supermom" Cookie as she cared for two orphaned foals last year.

Schaefer had been looking for a long-term show prospect, and it was crucial to the team at Pine View Farms that she go to a really special home.  We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this new team!

The other colt, Certain Im Invitd, is also doing well, and looking for a special home of his own.  For now, he’s content growing up at Pine View Farms while he waits for his show future to begin.

As for Cookie, the mare is living a life of luxury at Pine View Farms.  According to Trubee, she has found her forever home and is worth her weight in gold.
